Jimi Byrnes, LPC, CPCS

Jimi is a skilled and compassionate counselor with 20 years of experience working in the fields of mental health and addiction. She has worked in a variety of settings including group homes, domestic violence shelters, crisis units, detox facilities, community mental health, and private practice.

Jimi received her MA in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN and became a licensed counselor (LPC) in 2015. She became a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) in 2019. In 2021, she became a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider and is currently under supervision of Dr. Leslie Korn to receive her advanced certification in Integrative Health. In 2023, Jimi and her husband became Certified FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding, and Study) facilitators in order to better help engaged and married couples live out God's plan for marriage.

Jimi uses a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental approach combined with evidenced-based techniques such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, her years of experience, and her advanced certifications to create a comprehensive and individualized counseling experience for her clients.

Her passions are her Christian faith, her family, her pets, counseling others to help them reach their goals, traveling, cooking, and supervising future professional counselors.
George Bakey, MEd
Mental Health Counselor
Certified School Counselor
George Bakey is a certified school counselor in GA, SC, and NJ and is under the supervision of Jimi Byrnes, LPC, CPCS to obtain his licensure as a professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. He has a bachelor's degree in History from Mt. St. Mary's University and a Master's in School Counseling from Wilmington University.
With 17 years of experience as a coach, a certified school counselor, and a mental health counselor, he has worked with students, families, and professionals in inpatient, outpatient, community, and school settings, guiding and assisting them in their journey to improve their mental health. He also has experience in individual and family counseling, conducting assessments, and working with behavioral issues.
